Walking
Walking is one of the most therapeutic things I have encountered. It is the same reason I love being outdoors, hiking, climbing, or playing sports. I enter this trance in which I am not thinking about the past or future. I am completely in the present. The feeling I had when I was a child. This might be the reason why I don’t mind hard labor at all. Shoveling the driveway when it snows in...

Moves On
A few days ago I wrote a letter to my friends, which one day I may finish and may actually share. It began, “I just cried watching a great piece of story come to an end”.  There are many painful moments as happy ones in life. Funny thing about the painful ones is that you get over it. Relatively fast. Live moves on. Better to embrace it than reject it.

Time Travel by Song
A good song is so infectious. I can feel it inside me running through my entire body. I’ve often found that a great song will take me back to the time period I listened to it frequently. No other experience can really compare whether it be a scent or a photograph. Listening to a song is event dependent and often occurs many times with different people in different places in different moods....

Digital Storage, Nature's Storage
Today I was thinking about storage and digital information. In particular, I thought about how much information I had stored on my computer and if I had to physically represent all that information. It wouldn’t fit in my room. Hundreds of textbooks, thousands of songs, several hundred documents, many pictures, etc. Then I thought about it in reverse, how we take it for granted, and how...

Morning Yoga with Louis: I'm Not
I met this guy Louis Jackson at the place I’m living at during the summer. He is this incredible Yoga instructor who is kindly helping me out with Yoga in the mornings. I first met Louis during ‘Amateur Night’ at our house where he read this incredible poem he wrote as he was trying to figure out who he was after spending much time with Hare Krishnas. As much as you can define...
